brown people

Joshua has loved his kindergarten class and seems to be doing really well in there. He brought home a card that said he had a 93% in his computer lab! Go big J!

Then yesterday I dropped him off at his class and he proceeded to let me know that there were some "brown" kids in his class along with some "white" ones. I cringed as some of his hispanic classmates walked by right when he said this. I've since talked with him and let me know that I would prefer he simply refer to his friends by name and not their skin color. He seemed to get it. We'll see. -e
