Family Picture

Of all our photo albums, our Christmas album is my favorite. Each page contains a photo of our family taken at Christmastime that particular year (1992 to present). I love looking at the pictures because it is fun to see how styles have changed, we have changed, and the composition of our family has changed. Our snapshots seem to be getting a little less formal every year. Here is our attempt this Christmas Eve:

We really were all trying to look at the camera at once. These are the type of photos that end up being my favorite. It more accurately depicts our personalities than a perfect picture would: Abigail - always loving on someone; Ernie - giving Abigail a goofy look because he will always enjoy a moment rather than just go with the program; Me - trying to get Madelyn to smile because I go with the program and often miss the moment; Joshua - trying to decide if he should be silly or not. He probably decided that yes, he would be. And Madelyn - well, she just looks like she's wishing Mommy would have used mouthwash.

Yes, Joshua did decide to be silly...

And this is a good one of the tops of our heads.

Such is life. And I love it. :)
