Update Continued

The only problem we had during Edward and Elaine's visit was that the vehicle they drove was only a 5 passenger vehicle. Ernie and I didn't have a vehicle, and we all wanted to go somewhere where we could hang out for a few hours. Their kids, Caleb and Mckenzie (11 and 7 years old), had to ride under the luggage, stroller and booster seats in the back of their SUV. I'm pretty sure this is safe.

Joshua and Abigail did well while we were gone, although Joshua cried all morning before school on the morning we were to leave. It nearly broke my heart. (I cried, too, after he left for school.) When we returned, however, they were full of stories of everything they did and the fun they had.

Fast forward...Yesterday Ann had a Christmas party for the kids in our small group. It was such a great idea and the kids had so much fun. They played a game, decorated cookies, ate lunch and played.

Nine kids (including the three babies) attended the party. Joshua was in school, so he couldn't go. We marvelled at the fact that last year at this time, there were only 5 kids between us. We now boast ten!

Abigail thrives on comforting crying babies.

And, the final update:

Today was crazy hair day at school. Joshua couldn't have been more excited. Ernie redeemed his hair cutting deficiencies by doing a great job styling Joshua's hair this morning. :)
