Pheasant Hunting in IA

I started my day with Doug out in a field in Nichols. We both shot our limit by 11AM. It was a fantastic morning hunt with numerous birds sighted. Maggi - our Weimareiner - did a great job pointing and retrieving the birds. There was one spot where I shot a bird over my dog's staunch point while Doug was dropping two roosters behind me. It was a great day! Now, my birds are simmering nicely in a crockpot for our meal tomorrow night. - E
