Yes, I Really am Going to Draw this Vacation out for Two Weeks or So...
Skiing was a bit harder than Joshua expected at first.

His rear end is wet for a reason, but he kept getting up and trying again.
Starting to get the hang of it (although he didn't seem to feel comfortable skiing in any position other than the "hunched over and closer to the ground" position at first)...

Ernie said skiing with the kids was one of the best days he remembers. Once the kids got the hang of it, he took them off the bunny hill to experience "real" skiing. He took Abigail up a larger ski lift to Discovery Park - a place with slopes for kids (harder than the bunny hill, but still mild). They laughed about her developing the "ski bum". Although she got to where she could ski, she couldn't get down the stopping part. On the steeper slopes, she would just sit down on her bum to stop when she started going too fast. The problem, though, was that she was going too fast. Sitting down wouldn't stop her immediately. She'd just continue down the hill, but on her skis AND her bum. They had a good many laughs.
When Ernie brought her back, he took Joshua up the big ski lift to the green slopes. This was a huge deal to Joshua as he and Daddy got to ski the "real" slopes together. They skied the rest of the afternoon until it was time to catch the shuttle back to our cabin. I'm really not sure who enjoyed the day more - Ernie or the kids.
One disadvantage to the green slopes: the faster you are skiing, the harder you fall...
